Q: Can you shoot on location?
A:
Yes, yes, yes. All of our services are 100% portable. In fact, most of the services require on location photography.
Q: Do you have adequate certification to photograph at an oil rig or gas plant?
A:
Yes. Our photographer has valid certificates from both the ENFORM H2S Alive and Petroleum Safety Training courses. We also come with 9 years of experience working in this environment.
Q: Do you have WCB and commercial liability insurance?
A:
Yes. We have full coverage under the Workers' Compensation Board of Alberta; plus Latitude Photography also carries a Commercial General Liability of $2'000'000.00 as required by the industry.
Q: Are there extra costs involved with shooting outdoors?
A:
Yes, there can be. Depending on the location, for example, outside of Calgary, there are additional costs of travel and accommodation. Shooting outdoors is also subject to weather conditions, which unfortunately may result in delays and may increase costs.
Q: Who owns the rights to the photos?
A:
You do. Currently, in Canada, the client owns the copyright to all commissioned photography; as you should, since you paid for it. However, we reserve the right to use a selection of images (approved by you) to promote and advertise our business. How would you ever see if our work was worth it, if you couldn't see previous results?
Q: Do you shoot Film or Digital?
A:
Digital. Where fast "Turn Around Time" is essential, digital photography has no rival. Nowadays, the quality of a digital image is surpassing the results from film. For this reason all shoots are done digitally. However, we still use and maintain film equipment and dark room for unique projects.
Q: Do you provide RAW files?
A:
Yes. However, RAW files require processing prior to use. If you have the ability and knowledge to process these files or will be sending them for professional processing, they will be made available.
Q: My Virtual Tour does not work?
A:
Latitude's Virtual Tours do not require an external viewer. But they do require Java
Script to be enabled on your browser. A small 24K file
loads right along with the web page. This file contains
all the java code needed to view the 360 VR Tours and panoramic
images.
